CES CVP-2 Demo Provides 'Studio Confident' Security for Multiscreen Delivery
As operators increasingly need to offer consumers secure multiscreen delivery, the CVP-2 guidelines developed by the DLNA enable operators to stream premium content inside the home by leveraging existing technologies such as HTML5 Remote User Interfaces, HTTP Adaptive Delivery and Authentication, on top of the DTCP-IP-based link layer protection. CVP-2 provides 'studio confident' playback across multiple devices such as TVs, smartphones, tablets, Blu-ray players, game consoles and more.
ACCESS includes support for the upcoming CVP-2 standard in its NetFront Living Connect Technology Component and its NetFront™ Browser NX 3.0. With additional features to integrate CAS and DRM easily, ACCESS addresses the upcoming security requirements in multiscreen. The solution can also be used in cloud environments to enable seamless integration of CDN-based content.
Our support for CVP-2 is just one element of our multiscreen toolkit that we will be showing at the ACCESS Demo Suite, Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas on January 7-10, 2014. We will also showcase what we're doing in cloud TV and the flexibility of our HTML5 WebKit-based browser.
