With IBC a mere six weeks away, the industry is awash with innovative solutions to support the next generation of multiscreen services and a key focus on increasing subscriber loyalty.
At IBC, we will demonstrate how we are enabling operators to combine their offerings with the consumer's personal content and external sources through our product portfolio, including:
- ACCESS Twine™ for data aggregation, analytics and operator powered apps to ensure consumers stay within the branded environment for all their media needs. ACCESS Twine also facilitates secure media sharing across all platforms, including support for DLNA® VidiPath™ and DRM.
- NetFront™ Browser family, enabling a seamless HTML5 powered experience across all screens — from smartphones and tablets through to the next generation TV screens. This includes:
- Chromium-based NetFront™ Browser BE 2.0, with support for external media player integration, render process plugins, YouTube on TV, UK Freeview Play and HbbTV 2.0.
- WebKit-based NetFront™ Browser NX, also including support for YouTube on TV, UK Freeview Play and HbbTV 2.0.
Our product portfolio can easily be deployed in the operator's infrastructure to offer consumers access to multiple content sources via the operator's branded service. This in turn improves time spent in the operator's environment, while facilitating browsing through a wide content catalogue and increasing exposure of content owners' assets.
Dr Fleming Lampi, Global Product Director at ACCESS, will also host a session entitled "Building a Unified, Personal and Secure Multiscreen Service" in the Content Everywhere Hub (hall 14) on Friday, September 9th at 12:00 – 12:20 CET. This session will provide guidance for operators looking to launch multiscreen services that comply with the latest security requirements. Using these strategic steps will enable them to offer an attractive content catalogue that adapts to evolving consumer demand for access to tailored content everywhere, on every screen and at all times.
Alongside our partners AirTies Wireless Networks (#5.C70), EKT (#5.B30), Innopia Technologies (5.B08), Opentech (#5.B11), Pixsan, Verimatrix (#5.A59), Vestel (#14.A20) and Zenterio (suite at Okura Hotel), we are proud to play an active role in the convergence of video and we're looking forward to enabling operators to extend the reach of their TV Everywhere services.
