ACCESS and Alcatel-Lucent demo CDN streaming via html5 at IBC
ACCESS and Alcatel-Lucent have joined forces to develop a standardized solution to deliver advanced media sharing from a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to any device. The proof of concept was presented at IBC, where interoperability and reduced application development costs have been the main buzzwords. Based on Alcatel-Lucent's Velocix and ACCESS' support for DLNA standards, including HTML5, this CDN extension offers a seamless, unified TV experience through the cloud, including content sharing across all devices via a centralized HTML5 Remote User Interface. More information about the CDN innovation is available here.
