Dr Neale Foster, COO and VP Global Sales TV at ACCESS, to discuss future of 'studio confident' security on both sides of the pond
As multiscreen solutions for operators move from a differentiator to a must-have, 2014 is seeing increased attention paid to security and interoperability of content, whether delivered within the home network or through the cloud. The launch of the new DLNA CVP-2 Guidelines meets these challenges through providing the framework necessary to share content between a number of devices including smartphones, game consoles, the living room set-top box and many more. ACCESS has added support for the DLNA CVP-2 Guidelines in our NetFront™ Living Connect DLNA Technology Component and NetFront™ Browser NX 3.0. ACCESS technologies enable multiscreen sharing and presentation of HTML5 based user interfaces with robust authentication and link layer security based on DTCP-IP. CVP-2 encompasses worldwide service provider & CE needs for a standards-based and deployable solution for premium content sharing around the home.
The Cable Show (Los Angeles Convention Center, April 29th – May 1st): ACCESS (CableNET booth) will be demonstrating how its standards-based solutions enable operators to launch secure multiscreen services both in and out of the home.
CSI Converging Home Summit (May 7th – 8th): Dr Neale Foster will take part in the Cloud Services and Virtual STB's panel where he will discuss how the launch of the new DLNA CVP-2 guidelines provides the interoperability required for the seamless delivery of content to every screen in the connected home.
