The integration of ACCESS’ DLNA Technology Component with Vestel’s home TV environment provides new consumer use cases, such sharing content between Live TV PVR and second TV or mobile devices

Oberhausen, Germany, 03 September, 2013 − ACCESS CO., LTD, a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile, beyond-PC and digital TV markets, and Vestel, a holding company operating in the consumer electronics, household appliances, multimedia communication, LED lighting, and defence industries, today announced that ACCESS NetFront ™ Living Connect has been integrated with Vestel TVs to enable end-users to share TV video streams with second screen devices such as other TV’s or companion devices. ACCESS and Vestel will demonstrate the solution at IFA Berlin on 6-11 September 2013, (Vestel IFA stand Hall 8.2/101).

ACCESS’ NetFront Living Connect DLNA Technology Component enables users to share recorded content between the TV and any other screen of their choice, including set-top boxes, smartphones, tablets and more. This new DVB compliant solution is initially aimed at the use case of sharing free-to-air DVB content between TVs or set-tops with mobile devices.

“The integration of ACCESS’ NetFront Living Connect with Vestel TVs enables us to offer state-of-the-art DLNA-powered multiscreen media sharing experiences to our end-user customers,” says Vestel. “Consumers are increasingly on the lookout for efficient solutions that enable the sharing of TV content. This new solution will help consumers record content on their DVR and share it with any device of their choosing, an exciting use case that meets consumer demand for exciting new multiscreen viewing experiences.”

“Being integrated in home electronics manufactured by a global retail brand like Vestel shows that our technologies align with the public’s needs, be it sharing live content across connected devices or recording a piece of content to watch on a portable device later,” says Dr Neale Foster, ACCESS. “This solution opens new doors for multiscreen as the user can now choose whichever screen is most convenient, no matter where and when it was received.”

NetFront Living Connect has achieved an extensive track record of successful DLNA Certified® device deployments on a variety of consumer electronic devices offered by leading manufacturers in markets throughout the world and adheres to DLNA Premium Video guidelines.
