Tokyo, Japan, 8 January 2019 − ACCESS CO., LTD and Irdeto are partnering to safeguard in-car data and services. Connectivity has enabled vehicles to become services hubs. However, turning the car into an open environment can also result in increased security threats, ranging from content piracy to data theft. Further, the in-vehicle infotainment system could allow access to other connected components, rendering the vehicle’s control systems open to attack.

Tokyo, Japan, 22 October 2018 − ACCESS CO., LTD announced that its NetFront™ Browser BE v2 DTV Profile, the latest version of the high-performance browser for televisions, has been selected by Panasonic System Solutions Japan Co., Ltd. (“Panasonic”) for its CATV digital set-top box models that support the new 4K satellite broadcasting services set to start in December 2018. The browser will be used in TZ-LT1000BW, a new basic model to be launched in November 2018, and TZ-HT3000BW, a new model with a built-in 2 TB HDD to be launched in January 2019.

Tokyo, Japan, 20 September 2018 − ACCESS CO., LTD announced that its NetFront™ Browser BE v2 DTV Profile, latest version of the high-performance browser for televisions, has been selected by Panasonic Corporation for its DIGA Blu-ray disc recorder with built-in 4K tuner (DMR-SUZ2060), to be released for the Japanese market. Panasonic plans to release DMR-SUZ2060 with NetFront Browser on November 16, 2018.

Oberhausen, Germany, 10 September 2018 − ACCESS CO., LTD and Foxxum GmbH today announce a collaboration to offer cost-effective, high quality User Interfaces (UIs) for multi-platform services based on Linux for Android Open Source Project (AOSP). The joint solution enables operators in emerging markets to offer competitive, next generation smart TV user experiences (UXs) that rival Android TV and proprietary solutions. At launch, the solution has already been adopted by Latin American operator MP3 for TV platforms designed by Diggio, Innova, Global, Hyundai, Nakamichi, Icesa and Ecoline.
